Parlor

Drink.  Eat.  Repeat.   the PARLOR in KC’s crossroads is a new dining concept in this stunning vintage building at 1707 Locust Ave.   We were engaged by Redwether Development and Hufft to convert this 1930’s structure into a facility suitable for a public space dining experience.    As a result of the increase in occupancy from residential to public assembly, combined with several areas of complex alterations, Stand-SEI collaborated with the team to develop efficient solutions to code upgrades for large portions of the structure including increasing the load supporting capacity of both the floors and roof, upgrading the lateral load resisting system for modern wind and seismic loading requirements, as well as a variety of alterations to achieve the team’s vision.
