The centerpiece of the renovation of the building at 1901 Baltimore in the heart of Kansas City’s historic Crossroads Arts District is Farina, the latest restaurant from James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Smith and his wife and managing partner Nancy. A modern Italian concept inspired by the regions of Tuscany and Umbria, the 5,500 square-foot restaurant features seating for 90 guests and a 20-seat private party room.
The 18,000 square-foot building also houses the Haw Gallery on the first floor and office space on the second floor. A new vertical circulation core was added to the back of the building to provide access to the office space. STAND collaborated with Helix and McCownGordon Construction to deliver this award-winning project.
