In the heart of Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District, a long-vacant brick warehouse has found new life as Emprise Bank’s newest branch. Designed by Hermanos Design, the 8,500-square-foot renovation keeps the building’s industrial character intact — the brick, the bones, the history — while adding modern touches that make it inviting at street level. A glassy, open first floor puts everyday banking on display for the neighborhood, while private offices and workspaces occupy the level above. Completed in 2025, the project earned a 2026 Kansas City Business Journal Capstone Award for Architectural Design and stands as a strong example of how adaptive reuse can strengthen the character of an urban neighborhood.
