The KCU Center for Population Health & Equity is a 52,400-SF addition to Kansas City University’s Joplin campus, designed by Helix Architecture + Design with structural engineering by STAND Structural Engineering. The building links KCU’s existing medical and dental facilities, creating a new campus gateway and supporting collaboration across disciplines.
Inside, flexible lab and classroom spaces, faculty offices, and a community health clinic serve KCU’s mission to improve health outcomes across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Sustainable structural materials and an efficient framing approach support the university’s environmental goals.
